2012-2013 saw a bending toward a variety of new vessels forms I called “The Fold,” playing with my fascination the dimension and character of folds–folds of fabric or overlapping phenomena of any kind. These improvised forms anchor themselves on pottery language ranging in reference from tea bowls to decorative bottles to unnamable vessel structures.

Many of the works in this series carry forward the visual hopscotch of layering graphic imaging alongside formal color, forming interesting and unexpected partnerships.
